THE ROAD
My Story
It started with a move I didn't ask for.
The summer before my senior year of high school, my family packed up and moved to Tokyo. What felt disruptive at seventeen turned into three of the most formative years of my life — exploring Japan and the rest of Asia, discovering Australia and New Zealand, and building a soft spot for Tahiti and Oahu that I've never quite gotten over.
Years later, while finishing my MBA, I planned what was supposed to be a two-day study trip to Lyon. It became a ten-day solo trip through London, Paris, Lyon, and Brussels — every hotel, café, and afternoon researched and chosen on purpose. That trip is where I realized travel planning wasn't a chore I tolerated before a vacation. It was the part I loved most.
Today I'm a full-time professional, a single mom, and a fiercely loyal Royal Caribbean cruiser. Somewhere along the way, cruising became the trip I kept coming back to — and eventually, the only kind of trip I plan professionally. Every itinerary I build gets the same intention as that ten-day solo trip, whether it's your first weekend cruise or a milestone sailing you've been saving for.
